A local firm specializing in home modification is expanding its operations into East
Tennessee.
Life@Home, Inc., a Nashville-based supplier and installer of products designed to aid
seniors and the disabled gain and retain independence in their homes, has opened its
second Tennessee location.
On June 30, the company, which offers free needs assessments, opened an office in
Knoxville. A spin-off of MKF Construction, a residential construction company, Life@Home
has been in business for more than a year and installs wheelchair ramps, grab bars,
intercom systems and other security products for seniors and the disabled to make their
home more accessible.
Jenny Simmons, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, says the company will begin
franchise opportunities by the end of 1999.
