Is the reality of Y2K is really as bad as the fear mongers would have us believe? We are not sure either. However, we do think it might be a good idea to be prepared for some circumstances. • 911 Emergency Disruption- In the event that our police, fire department, and ambulance services are unavailable due to communication disruptions, you need to be prepared for certain problems. For example, if a fire should break out, be ready to put it out yourself. The fire department may not make it to you. Some cities and counties are Y2K compliant, is yours?
