Everyone wants to live in their own homes, and while that's not always possible,
Life@Home is making it possible for more and more people, not just in Nashville, but also
around the world.
Life@Home provides home modification products and services for seniors and others with
special needs. They also work with rehabilitation hospitals, senior organizations and
other health providers.
"Our main goal is we want people to stay in their own homes where they are
happiest and remain independent," says public relations and marketing director Jenny
Simmons.
The company was founded about one-and-one-half years ago by Ronnie Ferguson, Mark Fry
and Richie Simmons, who are also in the construction business. They decided to start
Life@Home after receiving numerous requests to remodel rooms to make them more accessible
and safe for people with special needs.
Among the products available through Life@Home are grab bars for bathrooms, emergency
responses systems, ramps and other devices that enhance safety and mobility. The company
has access to more than 10,000 different products. Life@Home also offers a free needs
analysis for anyone considering modifications to their home.
"We want to make a home friendly and accessible for anyone with special needs.
Nursing homes and assisted living are so expensive, and this way, they don't have to move
in their children or have a caregiver."
Life@Home offices are at 4701 Trousdale Drive, Suite 114, but many of its clients are
far away from Nashville and visit their web site: www.lifehome.com
"Intraact LLC., built and
maintains our site, which has an on-line store and articles of interest to seniors and
others," noted Simmons.
Life@Home can also be reached Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at
831-5411. Call to request a free catalog. Email:
